A bit of tidying today, smoothing some of the worst colour blends. I’ve added a bit of yellow at hard transition lines in an attempt to suggest that the Actual Human Sun might be directly glinting on those edges, discrete from bright sky and ground reflections.
A new shot of Axe Pal on its holder. It still has fairly abrupt value transitions, which I believe is the secret sauce of non-metallics, but white-to-blue-to-black are more smoothly blended. Some yellow and yellow-white has tentatively been added where blade edges transition to flat body elements, with some pure white added at the brightest point and dotted in little detail lines to suggest scratches.
The dragons remain indifferent.
