Very much beginning to realise, in my days painting resin minis, that making dexterity my lifelong dump stat is going to have consequences.

7:32 pm

Definitely time to start some regular creative stuff again and hope to carry hobby-momentum through into the new year.

Not the greatest start to day one though, I’m going to have to learn how to putty re-sculpt a resin-related-injury on the fuzzy fella.

Goal accomplished. But at what cost. What cost.

10:05 am

Fully intending to eat one (1) entire Lindt chocolate reindeer before 10am, and not a soul can stop me.

9:47 am

🎉 The annual rediscovery of my dedicated Christmas Stuff scissors. Instantly forgotten by New Year. “I keep what?”

2:36 pm

It’s December 5th and I hear neighbours out with their lawnmower.

Weird modern pseudo-senses; the unheard surrounding environment just got louder as your noise-cancelling headphones automatically adjust their volume.

8:09 pm

Trying to mimic some of the light placement on the bracer referencing Sergio’s timelapse video. Still using quite a large brush at this point due to the Unaccustomed Vastness of space.

There’s something profane in tarnishing a pristine blank canvas.

Absolutely ludicrous difference in scale between the two ‘minis’ currently in the WIP pile.

Two fists deep into the first Celebrations tub of the season.

2:25 pm

Chonky fren.

8:03 pm (1 image)

Ooo, a box of Sergio Calvo Kickstarter miniatures just arrived. New squirrels to chase.

1:33 pm

Sneakers may be a perfect film.

7:29 pm

…and of course near immediately afterwards the arrival of darkness, rain, sleet then snow.

1:27 pm

One of those days that feels like it should be snowing or sleeting or covered in ice, but it’s too bright and cloudless and dry. No weather applies correctly here, apologies for the inconvenience.

10:06 am

And lo, the world’s slowest painter of yellows picks up again his burden.

Wait… why exactly are we all using acrylics? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3XRwj5l3Eo
