Just binged the whole first series of Mackenzie Crook’s new… I can’t even say what kind of a thing it might be. If you can avoid reading anything about it beforehand, trust me, it’s probably worth a watch. ‘Small Prophets’.
The first UK story that you hit is Man of Iron and it’s so different in tone, art and telling from the ‘I am Megatron, I am a bad guy!’ style of the initial US pages that you could get whiplash.
I also really should have gone colour-against-opposite on each of the side transitions, but if you think I’m going back to correct that now…
Did I choose a sane, easily-accessible area in which to attempt the obligatory checkerboard pattern? No.
But will I at least finally learn from this experience? Also no.
